Is it worth waiting for new MacBook and miss out out on free Beats Headphones

my son is going to Uni at the start of October but is not sure if he should wait until mid October to buy his MacBook in the hope of the new one being released, this would mean he misses out out on the free Beats wireless headphones, would it be worth sacrificing the headphones for the newer model?
 
Does he already owns a pair of headphones (beats or another kind)?

Its a sweet deal, but who knows what the future holds.
