I wanted to ask the community if you've seen any issues with macOS 12.3 on Apple Silicon, specifically the MBP14?

I have been hesitant to install it after reading about issues with external screens in the 12.3 beta.

I dint think you’ll find any major OS out there that’s bug free ?

Specific issues I’ve encountered since 12.3 (but maybe earlier): sometimes Notes.app would hang and consume a lot of CPU time, a Time Machine backup corruption on my Synology NAS (but that could have also been Synology problem).

Does not seem worse than the previous versions to me… but still with some bugs of course.

The problems I have on 12.3 are related to network (some websites are unreachable after a couple of days and I have to reboot), and memory leaks (very slow). The memory leaks were really bad on the original Monterey and have gotten better with each release since then, at least for me. I generally prefer Big Sur for stability over Monterey but I don't have a choice on my 2021 MacBook Pro.

Well, there is this, but it also happens on Intel Macs running 12.3...

Thanks. I also have Time Machine on a Synology NAS - what was the issues?

There's some bugs with Sidecar not working and having to restart the iPad.. Memory usage on Monterey is off the charts though

Oh dear....I'm still on 12.1 and think the memory management is not as efficient as Big Sur - I am nearly always with "yellow" memory pressure with 32GB RAM as soon as I open more than a couple of dozen web-browser tabs. Doesn't seem to be dependent on the browser either.

Maybe I'm seeing memory leaks on 12.1 then?

Just seen that 12.3.1 is available today, so I'll do a carbon copy backup and give it a go I think!
