Is Matlab 2010b for UNIX compatible with Mac OS X?

I need a copy of Matlab for my work and I heard from a friend that there is no dedicated version of Matlab 2010b for Mac ONLY. I just need to find a copy that works for UNIX or Linux and it would work for Mac, too.

Is this correct? Thank you.
