Is MBA sufficient or is rMBP needed?

Try lugging around an Asus G73 gaming laptop around for weeks 😛 The cMBP is not all that heavy, especially not the 13" model. And its not all that much thicker then the rMBP. I agree with most of the people on this thread about getting a 13" regular MBP. It will be cheaper, have more storage, it will take up the same desk space as the other computers, its just less than 1/4 of an inch thicker (if that).

i think many countries are quite lax on the maximum limit if you show em the laptop.

I carried my MBP 15 in a backpack around Europe for 6 weeks. An MBA would have been much more convenient (but I was also in the process of taking about 80 GB worth of photos (raw) and flash is expensive).
