Is my 3GS GPS chip faulty? My GPS sometime doesn't work at all, like for example when I am using Navigon, sometime I can't get a signal at all, even though I am outside with a clear bright sky, and when it does work, the accuracy is low, with Instamapper GPS Tracker my T-mobile G1 is able to get a average accuracy of 19ft indoors and my 3GS is only able to get a average accuracy of 55ft. I try reseting network setting, restore phone as new, and its still the same.. Is this normal for the 3GS?

    Thanks

Are you only using the results you get from the Navigon app as a method for determining if the GPS is faulty? When the GPS "isn't working" have you tried going to Apple's Google Maps app to see if GPS is accurate?

When using Google Maps, most of the time it is more than a mile off, and Google Maps doesn't track my movements sometimes.. I also removed the sim card and turn off wifi to see if it can location me just using GPS satellites, sometime Google maps is able to locate me, but most of the time it can't.
