    Hi

Wonder if anybody can help me out there please?

I bought a MacBook from Apple last week over the phone and got a deal on MacBook + AppleCare + iWorks.

Everything arrived in two boxes including my AppleCare which was in a jiffy bag - an AppleCare manual and a TechTools Deluxe CD.

I have received an automated email, which says, ('scuse the length!):

    AppleCare Protection Plan Certificate

Thank you for purchasing the AppleCare Protection Plan. This certificate confirms that you agreed to AppleCare Protection Plan terms and conditions and the Apple product(s) entitled for coverage.

Please keep this certificate and the original proof of purchase for your Apple products and the Agreement as they may be required if there is any question as to the product's eligibility for service under the Agreement.

Below you will find a list of products entitled for AppleCare Protection Plan coverage. Please take a moment to review it. If corrections are necessary or if you have questions please call us on 0870 876 0753.

    Customer Number: xxxxxxxx
Agreement Type: UK HE UPLIFT 07 FOR MACBOOK
    Agreement/Enrolment No.: xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Coverage is now in effect and expires on 21/11/2010. The AppleCare Protection Plan is a uniquely integrated service and support solution that extends your built-in service and support coverage.

So, my question is - do I need to do anything like register my MacBook? Something else which has concerned me slightly is the Agreement, (UK HE UPLIFT 07 FOR MACBOOK) - I'm not a student, and never said I was either during my online quote or telephone conversation with Apple.

    Thanks in advance

    - D

When you buy a Mac with Applecare from Apple they generally register it for you. Not sure about the student thing. Since you have Applecare, call them and see what they say.

just give them a call. Keep your computer's serial handy and it should be just fine. I am also under the impression that apple auto-enroles bundled purchases.

UPDATE: I've tried the URL above and it says my MacBook is only under warranty until November 2008.

I guess it's a phone call to them!

    Cheers
