Hi all,
I traded my old MBP in when I got this MBA. I don't have anything to compare to except for my iPhone and iPad. When I set black wallpaper, it looks not really black. It's a little bit blueish. I wonder if my MBA screen is defective. I really don't want to wait for few weeks to get a new one. I hope you guys could give me some ideas of your screen if they look the same as mine..Thank you.

1. Stop actively looking for flaws and enjoy the thing! I got mine yesterday, upgraded from a 2011 MacBook Pro and oh my, this machine is ridiculous... even my tweaked gaming rig can’t compete with normal say use stuff...

2. The only thing I would check is if there are any pixel errors. There are several tests out there, Eizo has a famous one. Pixel errors are annoying like hell and not a warranty issue so you want to check it out within the return window.

3. for all other things you should have warranty. So enjoy it. Don’t look for all the things you find in forums. Electronics will fail to a margin. Those people are angry. I would be angry if my Mac would fail within the first days or comes with flaws.
try to think about all the people who are happy and don’t go to forums... :)

It's LCD, not OLED so you will never have true black.

Hi,

have a look at this thread:

Maybe you can test it like described over there.

There are red glow issues with the new MBA M1 models.
The MBP M1 models are fine and don't have this issues.
