Is my CPU Running Too Hot? CD @ 75 C.

I am currently encoding a dvd and it's running about 71-75 degrees Celsius at about 75% load.

Is this too hot?

Mine runs at 80-82 while encoding EyeTV videos, so I would say that's normal.

That's good to hear. I read on a wiki like site that it will operate safely up to 100 C. 😱

I have C2D that even stressed at 100% usage never goes about 54. 😀
I guess I have enough fans in my case.

when both cores are thinking full blast, my temps reach up to 83-85C and the fan speeds ramp up to 5000+ rpm. that seems pretty normal so 75C isnt too high at all.
