Is my Fan Speed wrong?

What is the proper speeds? are these right or wrong?

My fans are currently running at 6000 RPM, is that too fast?

These are the settings i keep on my MBP, but its the first iteration so its prone to running a bit hot.

EDIT: and this is just surfing the net and listening to iTunes.

yes i'd like to know this too...it seems just to keep it cool it would have to run at 6000rpm...will this eventually kill the fans?
