Hi, to all UK iPhone 4 owners, I purchased an iPhone 4 back in 2010 from Carphone Warehouse on 24/m contract for £45 on o2. I would like to know if it is unlocked to all other carriers in the UK? Can I use it with say T-Mobile, Orange, Three, etc by putting in a different sim card?

    Many thanks :)

It will be locked to O2.

GOOD NEWS however is that O2 will unlock your iPhone 4 if you fill out the unlocking form on their website.

It is free but does take a week or more as Apple unlock it for you when O2 requests it.

Just head to iPhone support on the O2 site.

Well thanks for the info, is it possible to unlock it by other phone vendors as 14 days is too long to wait :(

Check your modem firmware in settings. If it is 1.59 or lower, you can do a software unlock.
Otherwise, you'd have to order a gevey sim to unlock.

Nope, other than the JailBreak Software unlocks, the true SIM unlock can on,y be achieved by your operator.
