I did a search, though I just want to confirm my phone has in fact wiped clean...

I sold my 2G iphone and my new 3Gs has not yet come in. I went to att today and she swapped the sim cards, and put the one from the iphone into my razor. The razor works now, and the iphone displays "no sim"

I then went ahead and through the settings menu told it to erase all content. It took around an hour and then restarted. The only thing that makes me paranoid is it wouldnt let me look to be sure all the data is gone. The phone says "no SIM card installed - Insert a valid SIM with no PIN lock to activate iphone" with the slide bar underneath it.

I really wanted to confirm all my contacts, pics, email, etc is gone... but even plugging it into my mac wont let me. Is there a way to check? Do you guys/gals think it is wiped clean?

Thanks for the speedy help - I am supposed to meet the buyer tomorrow so hopefully I can get confirmation before then!

If you were running version 2.x or later it is gone.
