Is my Jailbroken iphone actually charging?

As what title said, is my iphone actually charging when there is an itunes icon on the screen?

I played my iphone till it went to 0% :O!

Since it is jail broken, then i will need itunes to open it, upon charging it for a lil' while, i went back to check the status and saw the itunes connection thingy.

Was wondering if my iphone is charging or not, and how to find out the % of teh battery without disconnecting it from the charger( which damages your battery 😡 ) and having to use blackrain :O
