I am living in SK for the next six months and they have a new iPhone hat just got came out. I am thinking of getting it but I would hope I can use it when I return to America too. Is that possible (assuming I jailbreak it when I get back) or is the technology only for Korea?

All 3g phones use sim cards. It was the same here in japan with CDMA but now with 3g they use sims. Don't worry it will work in the US.
