I'm in the market to buy MS Office 2011 for Mac, and I saw that the site, onlinedigitalitems.com, had it for an extremely low price. Now, as I understand it, Office would just be a software download from this site (no physical packaging), and that's OK with me, based on how cheap it is.

Has anybody had any experience buying from the site? How reliable is it?

Thanks.

If its too good to be true, then it generally is.

Doing a whois on the domain indicates it was created in 07/2010. Personally it doesn't pass the sniff test and I'd not take a chance on it

I agree, and the fact that they conceal the site's ownership information doesn't inspire confidence, either. I wouldn't trust it.

onlinedigital items

Bought download MS Office 2011 Home and Student. (Wish I had bought Home and Business with Outlook).

Installed on new Mac Mini and then on 2009 MacBook.

No problem except when I wrongly transcribed key on MacBook. Required only one download for both computers.

Communication with support department was excellent.

Recommendation? So far, so good.

They don't offer telephone contact either. The home page also has no security references. Their login page isn't even https!! An insecure login is a sure sign of less than trustworthy.

Skip them and go to a legit site.
