Is real time playback on airplay speakers possible?

I'm guessing it's probably not but is it possible to use airplay speakers without the 2 second lag?

For eg, when playing diablo3, or something as basic as system sounds.

I don't have a real solution but you could try a Bluetooth Music Receiver - http://www.amazon.com/s/field-keywords=bluetooth%20music%20receiver

The latency for audio over Bluetooth is probably much less than 2 seconds.

For me the lag time is very short before they sync up. The Apple Airport Express, next to my iMac, and the Apple TV up stairs all sync after a few seconds.
