I want to remove the Rose Gold color from a pin on a pink sand watchband. I'm cool with pink, but Rose Gold offends me for some reason. Not a fan of copperish colors for some reason. So, is the color simply an anodized coating on the pin? Would I be able to sand it with some very, very fine grit abrasive to remove the coating at least on the visible end of the pin when it's engaged in the watch band?

Anyone have a rose gold pin band that's broken who want's to give it a try for me????

Edit Update: A bit of work with some 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper and now my pin is stainless steel. :)
