Hello,

This is the debate of a lifetime concerning me. I plan to get the iPhone 12 Pro Max by Christmas, and I'm still hesitating about which protection model to choose (compromise between elegance and protection): Should I banish silicone? In my head, silicone hangs in jeans pockets, deforms over time and above all is a real nest of dust. Is this really the case? What do you think about it? Is the apple silicone case a dust magnet? Thank you.

I bought the Apple 12 PM silicone case yesterday. Yes it attracts lint, but personally I don't feel it's at a rate that it bothers me. I'm also partial to silicone cases in general. I think they feel so much better than leather in hand. I can remove the case from my jeans pocket with no issues. I always felt this was an overrated point honestly.

The good news is that you can return the case if you don't like it.

Agreed. I wear slim fit and regular pants and jeans. I’ve had a little friction here and there but never close to considering it enough of an issue to reconsider the case material.

So for you the magnet lint is not totally true? My doubt are on this aspect. I love get my phone clean so I’m bother about dust.

The lint attraction only occurs for the first several days (or so) of use. Afterward, it really shouldn’t be a problem.
Exactly. I had the black silicone on my 12 since launch and used it for about 3 weeks. Lint was not a problem after a few days of using it. It was a nice case. I still have it, I just don’t use it. My return expiration date is 01/16/2021 at Best Buy.

Yes. I have the plum for my work phone. Lint magnet all the way. Days, weeks, months later does not help. Still a lint magnet...not quite sure why people say the lint stops after a few days...not true in my experience.
