I can't believe the Dictation is 4S only.
Well, i can this is Apple after all.

I'll be jailbreaking my iPhone 4 and activating both features, if they're unlocked and work well, which i'm willing to bet that they will!

-1 me all you want. You know it's true. Look at the past, Video recording, MMS, Backgrounds, Multitasking, all have worked when Apple said they didn't.

If siri is only on the 4s i won't care. I don't really want to talk to my phone. Its a cool feature, but not worth upgrading for. Hopefully there is a jailbreak app that enables it.

If anything I think the processing power of the A5 could have more to do with Siri than the amount of RAM.

Agreed. If the dev team gets it to work on the iPhone 4 it should "work" just not nearly as efficiently as it is on the 4S. Honestly, I hope they can get it to work on the iPhone 4 just so I can try it out, but I really think it's more of a gimmick for people to buy the 4S. It's one of those cool features that you never use, like FaceTime.

I predict Siri is the 2011 equivalent of FaceTime. It will probably make its way onto all Apple devices, but the majority won't care. I would like to try it out though, so I hope it gets enabled on the 4.

I dunno... Have it type out my message and emails and not having to worry about using the keyboard is a really nice feature

The existing Siri app is not working now. I hope this is just a temporary glitch and not some underhanded move by Apple to try to get people to buy the 4S for this feature.

It is glitchy today and has also been pulled from the app store. tipb has a little writeup about is being discontinued. Basically they made a big deal about it for the 4s and pulled the existing functionality from the 4.
