okay guys for those of you that use siri and have been since previous iOS versions. What kind of success have you been having with it since ios 10? She gives me the stupidest answers to stuff she use to answer correctly.

I know she does hears me correctly (since what I read on screen is what I said) but for some reason she says right when I say left.

A few examples;

"Siri walk to my car" (previously pinned)
"Okay I will remember where you parked your car"(Pins my current location, thus losing track of my car)

Heres another one
"Siri call charles"
"I'm sorry matt I don't seem to have a home adress for andy, would you like to add one?"

There's a whole lot more of these, it's funny when you're with friends, but a very aggravating behind the wheels trying to use Siri hands free.

For your info i'm on ios 10.0.2 with an iPhone 7. Don't get me wrong I love Siri, even if she could effectively "do more". Now I just feel she's going backwards and somehow seems to be a lot less fun. (it actually sounds like I'm disturbing "her peace" most of the time, but I guess that's another issue... I'll try changing her voice/accent maybe it'll help!)

Obvious words like "i like the internet and things" end up as "eye liked the Internet Anne Fhings" and i am like "when on earth would i want to refer to that, more logically than "and things"?

When did it start? Also please state you current ios version/device

During iOS 9.1 on old 5s and newer 6s+
I feel we may have different issues, as I said Siri hears me correctly, she just doesn't answer accordingly.

Your issue could be the result of a accent issue or just a bad microphone.

It mainly happens when I am on 4g, so I assume it's because of 'bad internet', or bad latency. So it tries her best.
When on wifi, it's a lot better, because the internet is 8ms ping, and way less packet loss.
Accent is probably a good reason on top of that.
But i think it's ridiculous that it tries to figure out "it is more likely he meant some obscure name than .. this logically most used term or combination of words"

I see you're in Montreal, do you have US English in your preferred language list ahead of CA English? Something like that might explain why she's not getting what you say.

EDIT: Nevermind, you say she IS getting it

i'm having sporadic issues with it. i can tell it something one minute and then not be understood the next minute with the same question.

I REALLY wish people starting "Siri ___" threads would put their country in the title. Siri behavior outside of your particular country is barely relevant to anyone else. They're literally different features/services.

I'm just asking if Siri misinterprets what you ask her, no matter what you've asked her. I'm not having an issue with a specific Siri feature, just her general understanding/interpretation of my questions.

For all it's worth i'm in Canada

you know you can train Siri to better understand you over time? When you ask something and you see the text / command repeated back (in the upper right), and it's an utter mess, you can tap "tap to edit" and make the correction. if you take the time to do that, it will eventually get better at interpreting your voice commands

it's not siri that is getting worse for me it's the voice recognition.
I don't know how many times I've called my fiance by name...and it still often reverts to a different spelling which confuses Siri. Tried teaching it how to pronounce her name many times to no avail.
Siri is a joke in my opinion. Can't believe that only a few years ago Tim Cook referred to it as 'your best friend'.
cringe.

Sure, but you use the phone as a tool, and i use it when i can't use my hands, or when reading the screen is harder (because of my eyes), or when I need to dictate something while im on the bike, etc.
If I had to stop to train a puppy, it's counter productive.

Sure, I can do it when I am home, and use it. But since that's on wifi, the issues occur a lot less.

Well, the ability for you to make things better is out there. Up to you if you want to fix it or not.
