So briefly, today I got my new macbook pro 16" from Apple(online)and did some geekbench 5 tests. While I was doing the cpu test, I noticed that something was wrong. I just sold my macbook pro 2019 15 "to get a 16" model, and I remember there wasn't a sound like that while on the same test.
here is the video :

Do you think my macbook is faulty and I should send it back?

You've noticed the same sound when you're doing the test ?

thanks

Are you talking about that sound that likes the ocean? Like it sounds like waves or something. Or sort of like on an airplane?

How loud is it? I had to turn my speakers way up to hear it. It doesn't sound typical of Apple, but I don't have the 16". Maybe others on here with 16" can give more feedback.

I am intrigued though...please do update

Something does not sound right. I know it is a pain, but I would probably send the unit back if it is making those sort of wave noises. The fans on mine do not sound anything like that and I've never heard any MacBook Pro that sounds like that TBH. I also can hear something almost clanging if I max my speaker volume, and if the system is what is making those sounds, that is definitely not normal.

No, unfortunately, it's my iphone xs microphone, and it's been making the same white noise since the first day.

I mean, I 'm talking about a sound that reminds me of the sound of a clock, but it's just tik not tok:) You can hear it more clearly at the end of the video. You got ta open your speakers volume because the phone's microphone, as you said, surpasses it. At first, I thought, oh, my old clock was starting to work, but I noticed it was strangely coming from the computer. When I'm close to the touch bar, I've found something that makes a lot of noise and creates an echo that's coming from deep down in my laptop.

It sounds almost like a fan catching on something but only sometimes. I’d definitely get it replaced. There’s something goofy going on.
