Hey guys,

So yesterday my sister took my power charge for my 2011 Macbook Air and used it for her 2008 white Macbook. When I discovered this, the power charge was super hot.

Is it safe for her to use my power charger on her computer? Or is this a no no?

Thanks!

It is okay, but not ideal, as the MBA power adapter has 45 W and the MacBook adapter has 60 W.

So do you think I should let her keep using it? Or would it cause damage over the long term?

I don't know about long term, as it is not advised by Apple to do so, but using it sometimes is okay, at least in my singular experience, as I used a 60 W adapter for several weeks at work, I shared it with a colleague.
