Is the 10.5 pro the perfect size?

I agree. The 10.5 is a great device but I preferred the 9.7" pro and bought one on sale from Best Buy last week for $400. Win win!

Could you go a little more into why you prefer the 9.7"? Is the Pro your only iPad?

Agree that nothing is perfect but the 10.5 form factor is great. It’s both the size and weight that matters. A bezel reduced 12.9 that weighs 1 pound would be great but until then the 10.5 is a better compromise.

Its a shade of difference between the 9.7" and 10.5". But subjectively the 9.7" feels like a book and I like that. The 10.5 feels more like a small computer. I use my ipad for reading, videos, and sketching rough diagrams. Its almost exclusively a nightstand device. I have used a mini for four years but always found it a bit small. I am a SurfacePro fan,but I feel ipad owns this niche.

I don't require a bezeless iPad, where I actually have an appreciation for bezels for holding and preventing from inadvertent touches. But having reduced bezels would be more of something I would consider similarly to the 10.5 iPad.
