Maybe the display stand and iPad next to it with the words "iPhone 4" would have been a bit of a clue as to what she was trying out...

I love that she just assumed they were the iPhone 4S. Did she have any reason to think they were?

Of course she did. It's the new iPhone and she assumed that's what they would have on the floor.

I don't want to harp on it but how do you completely ignore everything pointing to it being an iPhone 4. It runs just like an iPhone 4, has no Siri, and all the signage says iPhone 4. To ignore all evidence to the contrary and believe you are trying out an unreleased device is just silly.

Oh well, everyone make mistakes.

How long before she realized the "Apple Store" was the kitchen and the "4s" was the garage door opener?

EDIT: this post is a joke. eesh.

There are a lot of "lol women r dum" posts and it is hard to tell if they are being ironic or idiots.

After all these replies, do you still not understand that there are no iPhone 4S out of the factory yet?

SHE WAS USING AN iPHONE 4.

Don't be an idiot.

Why do you think I asked in my initial post...

Does the Apple Store even have the 4S on the floor yet?

I assumed she was using an iPhone 4 but she wasn't sure because she had just stopped in for a minute while she was doing shopping at other stores and played with the phones that were on the floor and she commented to me that she didn't see or feel any difference from the iPhone 4 and when I asked her if she was sure it was an iPhone 4S she said no, but it was what they had on the floor so she assumed it was. She didn't check or ask anyone because frankly, it wasn't that big a deal to her. Her initial comment to me was a quick one because she knew I had just ordered the new one and she too was thinking about ordering it down the line in a few months.

So I came here to ask if they were on the floor yet, and they weren't. Problem solved.

Maybe a thread title along the lines of "is the 4s on display yet?" would have been better?

Yes. In hindsight, most definitely. I assumed people would read the actual thread contents instead of just assuming that someone was trolling to make the iPhone 4S look bad or something. Not the brightest bunch here.

To be fair, most people just think it's kind of funny. There's nothing wrong with letting them have their fun :)
