Is the 4S still good?

For anything but gaming and tabbed browsing it should work fine. Email, social networks, texting etc. Just don't get the 4, that's horrible for everything if it's on iOS 7. The 4S should do most of the things someone would need in a phone.

Yep, my 4S is still surpringly snappy and nice to use - but those tabs do give it a hard time.

It's weird, a browser app I use doesn't seem to reload tabs as often as Safari. Hopefully iOS 8 will see improved performance and memory management for the 4s like the 3GS saw from iOS 5 to iOS 6.

Well, I know I've fulfilled my 2 year contract back in 2012 (or was it 2013), now you've got me confused. Let's say I'm way passed my 2 years and I'm simply bored with it, however it's still going very well.

It must have been 2013 since the 4S came out in October 2011. I hit two years in January 2014 and while I've been thinking about the 6, with my 4S working so well it could be hard for me to justify an upgrade.
