I'm using a 6s on iOS 9. Battery life is excellent and performance is outstanding. I see no need to get a new one. It just works perfectly, I really like it.

Still rocking a 6S+. Replaced the battery @ Apple and had iOS 12 installed yesterday. Silky smooth if you asked me.

I want to buy iPhone 6 on eBay I'm thinking to get a refurbished model. What do you recommend iPhone 6 or 6 Plus. I own a iPhone 5 with 16GB storage right now. It's great just had new screen and new battery installed in it.

Nothing below the 6s is my recommendation.

So true and i agree with u

For now i wouldn't getting any older and cheaper than iPhone 7 especially if the iPhone itself is ONLY DUAL CORE (iPhone 4S and iPhone 6S are both DUAL CORE anyways) in which very risky so anything iPhone 6S and older will be dropped. Just like the iOS 8 which requires more core... but 6s shares the similarity of 4s like, its still dual core, not water resistant, lacks hevc encoding...

Again. Please check the dates of posts. After 7 months nobody needs a recommendation anymore...

Come on, after a dozen of old posts you resurrected you should have learned it the hard way... No?

You realize the iPhone 7 functions as a dual core device as well? It has 4 cores but only two are ever active at one time.

What on earth does dual core have to do with support? The iPhone 4s and 6s are in completely different performance categories. Having a dual core processor doesn't mean anything in terms of support. It's what can that processor handle.

I also don't think you understand what HEVC is? If you're claiming it as a reason why an iPhone would drop iOS support....The A9 in the iPhone 6s can still decode it! Only the iPhone 8 and newer officially support it.

And what does not having water resistance have anything to do with software support.... technically the 6s is water resistant. It's just not ip67 rated, or officially rated period. But it has water resistance for its internals.

iOS 8 requires more core? The iOS that shipped with the iPhone 6? I have no clue what point you're trying to make. Did you mean as a reason why iphone 4 Was dropped for support? Because that wasn't because it didn't have dual core per se. It was the came cpu as the 3gs clocked a bit higher and it just couldn't provide the processing needed for ios 8. If it had a more powerful cpu it could have supported it (not possible at the time because of where mobile.chips were at when the iPhone 4 was in r&d)

Apple's entire history is they will support a device as long as they can. Look at the 5s. It was state of the art Tech in 2013 and was supported more than any other iphone to date. As chips get stronger, unless iOS drastically changes, expect them to be supported longer.
