Hi all,

Just bought an Apple Studio Display last week. I know that the Thunderbolt port on the Studio Display is Thunderbolt 3, but was just curious what spec the included cable is? The online specs just calls it "Thunderbolt Cable (1 Meter)", but it doesn't specify whether it's a 3 or 4 cable. Was curious, if anyone knew from other sources besides the online spec.

Thanks!

It's actually 'neither', IMO.

It behaves like TB4, because it's >1m and supports USB 10Gbps transfer speed, i.e. 'active Thunderbolt'. But it's not really TB4 because it won't pass DP from a non-Apple source like a Windows machine. But if you use any other brand TB4 cable, you can pass DP from Windows to the Studio Display.
