I really want to pre order the watch but I want to make sure it is gold gold and not rose gold like the series 3. Does anyone know or have pictures of it?

It is more of a bronz-y gold. If you go on youtube, ijustine has a video that seems like it is just a hands on of the phones, but has some great shots of the gold watch.

It is anodized and contains no Au.

I think it is similar to or the same as the aluminum gold color from the series 3, which to me was sort or a mid way point between the old gold color and the rose gold color.

Yea it looks like it but I cant seem to find any good pictures online. I was hoping it would be more of a true gold.

Au is the symbol on the Periodic Table for the element Gold.

It is more of an "Indian Gold" than a Yellow Gold. I'm American that grew up in Asia, Indian Gold is the gold we usually buy in Asia. Usually in 18k or higher. I have a 22k Indian gold necklace. From the looks of it, it will match.

Ahhhhh thank you so much for that info! So a little less yellow?

In the US we usually have 10K or 14K gold which is cut with copper. Copper is more yellow than gold and it is what we are used to. In a nutshell 24K is pure or 99% or 0.99 fine Au. 12K would be 50% or 0.5 fine (so 50% copper) and 14K is 58.5% or 0.585 fine. 10K is 33.3% or .333 fine.

Now here is some REAL American Indian/Native American Au. This is pure .9999 fine (99.99%) Au and the TRUE color of gold.

First of all... all this talk about "indian gold" is dumb. Nobody has seen the actual S4 gold Aluminum but from the pictures (both on the apple website AND those taken by the media that went to the unveiling). To me, the pictures look EXACTLY the same as the S3 gold aluminum.

The SS gold is a totally different gold and looks much yellower in the pictures than the Aluminum gold.

All said, neither is actually gold... not the 14K not 24K... they are just colors apple picked thinking that they will satisfy the crowd.... Some people love the aluminum "coppery" gold color. I'm not a fan. I preferred the yellower aluminum gold color of S2 and earlier days, but everyone has different tastes!

Okay, maybe I should've been more specific. When I asked if it was "really gold" I meant gold in terms of color. I want it to be more gold than pink.

I think you should really see it in person... also, it looks different with different bands and weirdly enough in different lighting (assuming it's the same gold as the S3, which imho it looks like it). definitely does not go with my 24K wedding band sadly.
