That was true when I purchased my 6 Plus. I guess I'll head there tomorrow.Your best bet is to head to a store and find out firsthand. I was at an Apple Store last week and a team member told me they just received them and they were available for purchase even though apple.com still said it needed to be shipped to the store. I've also had bad experiences with sales staff over the phone telling me something is in or out of stock and arriving at the store to find the opposite. So again, best bet is head to the store. Bring money.
My local store (White Plains, NY) has them even though the online stock tracker says "ship to store".
Damn, my online one went to Preparing for Shipment. Otherwise, I would go to the store and pick one up today. Anyone ever try canceling by phone after PFS status?
I think you can cancel it but they hold the funds for 3-5 days.
They should have it. I'm mad because I called and they said they didn't have it but once going to the store, they did. Now I have to wait about a week to get my in store pickup model
For those in NYC, the Fifth Ave location had the 2.5/512tb ($2499 model) and 2.8/1tb ($3199 I think) in stock. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking to get one and can drop by a store. They should have something available.
The base 15" MBP doesn't have a dedicated GPU. Only the 2.5GHz one has a dGPU.
Ok thanks, good to know. I'm gonna try heading to the store in an hour and if they have them, I'll try to pick one up and cancel my online order. Fingers crossed!
