Can ne1 tell me if the (2.4/2.5 GHz) quadcore Macbook Pro 17" has a 32 or a 64-bit processor?
How to tell if your Intel-based Mac has a 32-bit or 64-bit processor
All intel CPU's used in mac's from the core 2 duo going forward are 64-bit. Why do you ask?
Edit: GGJstudios your link is dead.
No, it's good. Try again. Apple is having problems with their site.
It's not really dead...sometimes you have to refresh once the page has loaded.
It is not dead. This is a problem with Apple's website that has been around for about 3 months now. Just hit Command+R (Refresh) a couple of times and it will load without incident. (This tip holds for all of the Apple web links that don't load the first time).
Gotta learn to type faster so everyone doesn't always beat me to the draw.
We old folks can still move pretty quick sometimes!
Thanx for your response. I would have responded earlier but I'd lost my network connection.
I'm thinking of buying one for video editing. (I already have a 64-bit Sager NP 9280)
Glad to help!
As Snaky69 said, the last 32 bit processor Apple used in Macbook Pros was the Core Duo - everything from Core 2 Duo forward has been full 64 bit.
every apple computer produced in the last few years has been 64 bit.
8-bit processor of course
I am probably just as old, or close, as you are, so it has nothing to do with age, just ability.
