Is the delay due to GM2?

My guess isn't GM2. I think Apple's making final preparations on their array of download servers to handle the load - remember the Mac App Store glitches earlier?

As soon as Lion is release, the load on the Apple server farms will be huge. Maybe the new farm in North Carolina will be used?

How can people claim there's a delay when there hasn't been an official release date announced.

Until it ticks August 1st, Apple is right on track with Lion's release.
