Is the iPad Pro getting any love out of these latest IOS releases, especially the 9.3 beta? In other words, has there been any specific changes to improve and/or add functionality to the iPad Pro, or has it all been generic across the ipad range?

I joined beta program several months ago and been a part of beta development. But it seems that I am not able to upgrade to the latest 9.3 beta version. I have already tried to download the profile again and also deleted it from my iPad pro, but still stuck at 9.2.1. Anyone else having the same problem?

I can't imagine Apple doing anything like that until the next major iteration.

The public beta version isn't out yet. Only developers have access right now, I believe.

Nope, but based on Apple's history with ipads and iOS, why would you expect this to happen? IMO, other than squashing bugs in iOS, Apple should be worried about iphones and foundation improvements (icloud, itunes, photos, music, etc).

In this case, however, they actually are releasing some new features that could be categorized as "big". Nothing specific to the iPP has been found/reported on yet, but a big productivity feature I would say is being released in secure-able Notes.

When I said big, I meant system changing. Any iPad Pro specific thing is likely going to be as big as split view. I'm thinking maybe we'll get some Springboard things.

In my OP, I was really looking for evidence of improvements to those things that are specific to iPad pro, such as improved or smoother tracking performance with the apple pencil, changes to Springboard that actually take advantage of the large screen, etc...

The only thing I've heard of so far is that the Apple Pencil no longer works for navigation in the 9.3 beta, but I'm guessing that's a bug and not a functionality change.

Yup I've had the same issue. And the shortcut for going home on the smart keyboard has been modified to command h only

The major issue is that all iPads share the same applications with no exclusivity currently. I just wish that the iPad pro will have its own separate apps that only work with it while still being able to use the normal iPad apps. There needs to be some exclusives especially if they are stating that this is a laptop replacement.

I seem to remember the keyboard support in IOS9 being discussed on Daring Fireball a couple of times where they were saying it seemed like a missed opportunity because it's improved, but it's just not quite there yet. I also think they said the changes were going to go further but they just weren't ready in time.

Keyboard control and shortcuts integrated with the OS seems like an obvious change Apple have to make if they want to reduce the times where you're working on a Pro at a desk and have to reach across to touch the screen.

I did wonder if they'd look to add support for the Magic Trackpad 2 in some way or other in a future release, even if it's just for gestures to supplement the keyboard. Also, when you hold down the two fingers on the onscreen keyboard there is a moveable cursor, so it does make me wonder if they pulled some features at the last minute.

Is it me or does the CapsLock key have to be pressed for an extra split-second activate? (I'm on 9.2; anyone noticed it before and now possibly fixed on 9.3?)
