Hi everyone

I currently have an iPhone XS, still works perfectly except for the battery that shows its age. I kinda feel the need to get something new

I saw the iPhone 15 line up

Right now I could get a great deal on an iPhone 14 pro (~850€). It seems to be better than a regular 15 (~970€) since I don’t care about USB C and 120hz + telephoto sounds cool. The 15 pro is around 1230€

I’ve read a lot of comments/watched videos on the internet, is going from the XS to the 14 pro that terrible when it comes to weight?

I know the 15 pro weight is 187g and 14 pro is 206g, I could splurge and get the 15 pro but I know I’d be perfectly happy with a 14 pro like it seems to be more than enough for me, the price difference seems to be huge not for much if I’m not mistaken?

What do you think if you tried a 14 pro and lighter iPhones?

Thanks!

It’s a solid phone, and I think for me it’s more the shape than the weight - it’s just kinda brick-ish since it’s squared off. That said I’ve had one since last year, and I have used it with zero issues.

I have a 14PM and I’m not bothered by the weight at all, with a Casely case also. I’ve been team big phone since the 6S+.

I think the 14 pro is incredibly annoying to hold not just because it's too heavy but the ergonomics of it are NOT comfortable and my pinky and hand get get tired quickly. The sides of it tend to jam into my hand as well and and I just don't enjoy holding it. My work phone (regular 13) feels so much better to use. I am hoping the weight decrease and more rounded edges on the 15 pro series make it better because I have felt none of the pro models have been comfortable to hold since the 11.

I have the 13 pro and that’s my main complaint and reason to upgrade to the 15pro is the weight. If you use your phone one handed for an extended period of time you start to feel it in your pinky. Also the flat sides make it more uncomfortable. You can try it in a store but don’t really feel it until you hold the phone for a while. If you use your phone with 2 hands or a pop socket you probably won’t mind it.

I don't like the weight of my 14 Pro. I would get the standard 15 over the 14 Pro if you don't care about the always on display. It is far lighter and you will really notice the difference.

I have a 14 Pro and the weight really isn’t that bad. I think some people tend to exaggerate!

My 14PM only feels heavy when I pick up a mates Galaxy. It’ll feel heavier at first but you’ll quickly adjust and won’t even notice after a few days.

I've had every single main iPhone and the 14 Pro Max is probably the most annoying one to hold. Not only because of its weight, it also has to do with the material and shape of the bezel.
