Is the iphone4s a big enough upgrade from iphone4?

Have you looked into getting it repaired instead? My daughter cracked the front glass on a 4s, which is more expensive to repair than the 4, and we had the front glass and LCD replaced for around $100. It looks as good as new.

The 4s is a great phone - the camera is a bit better than the 4, and there is more memory as well. Siri is nice too. Not sure I would pay $400 though.
How close are you to being eligible for a $199 iPhone 5?
It's certainly better than the 4. Obviously the difference in 4 to 4s isn't as great as 4s to 5. If I was already dropping $400, I'd just pony up and get the 5. That or I'd make do with an older iPhone until I was upgrade eligible.

Wrong 4 to 4s is huge compared to 4s to 5.

4S-5 is just one dual core to a another, substantial, but mush less.

The 4 already has double basic home DSL bandwidth, 4S even more. Who needs that much on a mobile, really? Silly overkill.

Take it from a 5 owner who's girlfriend and coworkers have 4S. 4S to 5 is piddly upgrade.

Not more memory. Both A4 and A5 SoC have 512MB RAM.
And whatever storage option you choose.
You could buy a subsidy free Verizon iPhone 5. They come with the sim already unlocked.
Get the verizon version OR the ATT version. The ATT version can be unlocked on eBay (permanent, from Apple, Factory unlocked) for $3. Just did it last night.
