Is the kernel cache encrypted?

Hi, I've recently began researching ios kernel security. However, I've been struggling to find out whether the kernel cache for ios 15 is encrypted or not. I know it was left unencrypted for ios 10, however I couldn't find any information on whether they went back to encrypting them or not. Any help would be really appreciated.
