It looks too masculine to me. However I think it is worth the price if you are into that sort of look.

I tried every band, they all look great, but in the end, I just like the sport bands. The link bracelet's major problem was either too tight or too loose for me. Couldn't stand wearing it. Limited utility, only would wear it for black tie events. For that, I already have milanese loop. For everyday, just can't beat Sport. I've tried them all and I just like how comfortable the Sport bands feel. I can even alternate the colors around to create different color band options.

Otherwise, from one person living in a hot and humid area to another, I have to say that the Leather Loop comes highly recommended.
How is it in the humidity? I actually never owned a leather band for any watch, but I've heard people complain that they're uncomfortable when things get sweaty. Things are about to get pretty bad here in Houston in the next few days (highs above 100, heat indexes above 110). With those temps you'll break a sweat just walking to the car, even at 2AM.

I absolutely love my link braclet. Far more comfortable than the sport band in my opinion. I often forget the watch is even on my wrist. It looks great whether you're dressed up or just casual as well. The only issue is that it does scratch being stainless steel, but they aren't very noticeable and can be buffed out if they bug you. The clasp works wonders too. Like others, the watch felt too tight or uncomfortable at first, but I got used to it and you can always switch the links around very quickly and easily if you find it necessary

I personally think none of the bands are "worth it" in the sense of value for the money because they all have humongous markups. Yes, even the sport band, which I'm sure costs pennies to produce, though it's an excellent band. The band that might be the most "worth it" is probably the milanese loop (I thought all the leather bands were of marginal quality).

With that said, I think you should just buy what you like and not worry about the "value."

As others said, the "worth it" question is relative. I have the Space Black 42 mm and am EXTREMELY happy with the link band. I live it Hawaii and wanted one band that would work anywhere. The biggest benefit for me is how good it feels on my arm and looks very good. I work out with it although you do feel the weight when running, not bad though. I do some office work, but most of my work is in the field on construction sites (the reason I went with the Space Black).

Just go get one and try it. You can always return it, but my guess is that you will soon forget about the price and enjoy the watch more with it.

My concern with the link bracelet (besides my CFO, aka "wife", nixing it because of the price) is it seems like it might be too finely constructed.

What I mean is, it uses thin metal tabs and push buttons to stay together. Most regular watch bracelets are simpler and look more robust, with solid links, simple pins, and lots of hinge-like flexibility. Apple's bracelet looks like it would break if it curled just a bit too much.

The quick-change ability of Apple's bracelet is fantastic, I agree. I convinced the store staff to let me size it myself, and I actually had fun doing it. It fits me pretty well, too, although it would be perfect with a half-link or micro adjustment.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that I had to be careful with the bracelet. I didn't have that worry with the mesh, nor with the bracelets on my Swiss and Japanese watches.

It shouldn't be a problem on the wrist, I suppose; I'd have to get my arm run over by a car for the bracelet to get crushed.

As others have said the link being "worth it" is completely subjective. That being said I do have it and I feel that it is worth the money. I think that it's versatility is underestimated. It's like the Rolex Submariner. It's a good look for almost any and every situation whether it's casual, formal, or anywhere in-between.

As for the quality the band it's felt light to me compared to others that I have had experiences with. But the build quality is flawless. The quality and the ability to easily remove links is awesome. If you can get pass the sticker shock (and that's something in itself) you won't look back.

I've only really gotten the Leather Loops in solid use and rotation for around a week, but so far they've held up remarkably well in the humidity. I'm currently residing in one of the southern provinces of China and we routinely get temperatures in the 100s during the summer with a lot of humidity. Add that to the fact that I wear a suit and tie for work and there are [far too many] times where I will start sweating after simply standing outside for more than a few seconds.

Honestly, again, the best part of the LL is that I can resize it at my discretion extremely easily during the day. When I'm in my office/room, which is well air-conditioned, my wrist tends to shrink a bit so I just open 'er up and tighten the band just a notch. When I'm out and about moving or in the lobby which tends to be hotter, my wrist expands and it is super simple to loosen it up again. Perhaps the "ridge" design of the band helps a bit but I don't notice it sticking to my wrist as much as the Link Bracelet when I was wearing it and sweating due to the heat. I can see other leather bands like perhaps the Classic Leather Band being slightly more uncomfortable with sweat involved since it is still beholden to the notches, so it's not as finely adjustable as the LL.

I still switch to my Black Sports Band when I exercise with it but otherwise, I super enjoy using the LL even in the hot, humid climate.:)

Everyone thanks for the advice. I tried the link bracelet, Milanese loop and sport band out this morning. Eventually I bought the Milanese loop. I really like the bracelet but it was just to expensive for me. I'm really liking the Milanese loop so far tough.

I got myself an Apple Watch 38mm BCB in London a couple of weeks ago and this friday the watch will be released in my home country (the Netherlands). Due to the recent weather over here (lots of rainy days and really hot summer days) I've come to the conclusion that it might be better to purchase another watch band, as the leather has worn quite a bit over the past few days. I'm currently considering the White Sport Band or Milanese Loop. I absolutely love the look of the Link Bracelet but I find it hard to justify the price tag (it's about 550 dollars over here). Can anyone tell me if the Link Bracelet is really worth it and is it justifiable to spent such an amount of money on it?

The  bands are amazing quality but I can't justify the price.
I purchased on Amazon a link band and the total was $46.00 USD.
I'm not hocking this company by any means but I just received this band last night and really enjoy it and it's a fraction of the cost.

"Geen andere activiteiten". Seriously Apple?

I have the link bracelet and it is by far the nicest watch band for the Apple Watch. This is comparing it to my other bands, which include the sports, leather, and Milanese. I like the snug fit of the link bracelet plus it adds a level of sophistication to the watch that the others don't. Of course this is just my humble opinion. I have found through life experience that in most cases you get what you pay for.

One of the main reasons I upgraded to the Link from a Milanese was that the way the band attaches to the watch makes the watch profile appear much thinner.

I also had an issue with the Milanese slipping throughout the day and require re-adjusting, especially during a run.

I can see what you mean. The mechanism is so precise it's a worry that the latches could fail. That being said, no issues have been reported of this happening yet and with the Apple Care cover it's covered for two years. As with all link bands I have owned, they all get scratches and nicks but in my opinion it adds character. If I ever come to sell the band I can also just get it refurbished by a watch smith I'm sure.

One thing that I feel a bit wary of is that the band could be crushed if you were to apply pressure to it whilst it is laying upwards.

I have the Leather Loop and enjoy it a lot, but I have had my eye on the Link Bracelet ever since I first laid eyes on one. It's a beaut for sure. It gives the watch a whole different look. I'm not willing to spend the dough now, but I see myself getting one next year after the Leather Loop wears down a bit. I figure once I have the link, the loop won't be used again, so I'd better get my money's worth out of it first.

Though I also worry about the lack of fine adjustability. I guess I won't know if that's an issue until I get one. The Leather Loop is great for that. The Milanese is even better - the style is not for me but my wife absolutely loves hers.
