Has iWork been updated to support the higher resolution yet?

I just installed iWork onto my new Macbook Pro with Retina display. At first it was blurry but instantly, a notification popped up and told me that an update was available. I went to the app store and downloaded it and now, iWork is crystal clear. Unfortunately, my Microsoft Office package is still blurry.

How blurry are we talking of here? I think there's an article somewhere that explains how to change the Office suite to retina manually.

For me, this is a huge annoying problem because I live in Microsoft Office when I'm on my Mac. It looks awful and I can't imagine wanting to spend a great deal of time working in such a pixelated application, and I'll need to.
Honestly? Why do you use a Mac?
Office for Mac is piss poor. I regularly launch Office 2010 in the virtual machine because Word & Excel annoys me on OSX. If I used Office most of the time I would definitely get a Windows Notebook. Mac just sucks in that regard.

I also wouldn't bet on any quick update from Microsoft. The poor condition Office is in after it being not exactly new and the adaptions that would be necessary there will be no update before the next incarnation of Office hits.

Me personally I would be more annoyed by the poor performance with linked documents and anything that is a bit bigger than there being some blur.

I've always wondered, why does Office on Mac suck? I like it, well the only reason I like it is because I like to type on a Mac keyboard.

Yes it has. I opened up Pages next to MS Word and difference was VERY noticeable. I plan to switch to iWork for this reason and the ability to sync all of my documents.

I'm not seeing any updates available. Can you check what version you're on?

I know that unchecking the 'open in low resolution' box makes the text look clear, but once you get to the second page the formatting becomes all messed up. Can you verify that you can go beyond page 1 without any issues?

Which version of iWork are you on? You may need to upgrade. According to Apple's site, iWork has been upgraded already for the retina display. I myself prefer Office, and I'm willing to wait for it to get an upgrade, so I can't really doublecheck iWork myself.

iWork is clear for me too. Pages '09 is version 4.2 for me

On 4.2 (1008). I can get Pages to look clear if I uncheck the low-res box under Get Info, but formatting gets messed up once I go beyond the second page.

Boxes for Keynote get strewn everywhere without the low-res box checked too. Mac App Store shows no updates available.

EDIT: OK, I see that Apple's website claims compatibility. Just deleted the apps and am redownloading now. Hopefully this works.

Can you try reinstalling it? Sounds like there is an issue with old documents having been formatted in the low res setting and now they're not upscaling properly. I don't really know how that all works, but a fresh install of iWork may help.
