Is the new 96W USB-C power adapter the same as the old one?

I was wondering if the ‘new’ 96W USB-C power adapter that comes with the M1 Max/Pro MacBook Pros is the same one that came with the 2019 16 inch MBP. I have an extra one laying around so I would love to be able to reuse that. Thanks!

It is the same power adaptor - I think it was stated in a recent posted article on this site. The other two are new though (67 watt and 140 watt).

For sure. I was thinking about upgrading to it just to have a spare, but to be perfectly honest, probably would never use it; I hardly touch the one I have that came w/ my 16" and primarily use a much smaller aftermarket gan charger.
