Is the new Ipod Touch the 2G or 3G?

    2G = 2nd Generation. This would be the moniker for a totally new iPod touch yes.

    yes it would be 2G.

    the iPhone is just called "iPhone 3G" becauses it uses the "third generation" GSM data technolgies, as opposed to EDGE/2G which was used in the first iPhone
