Is the Ram upgradable?

    2.4GHz - 128GB
    4GB of 1600MHz DDR3L onboard memory


    Can we purchase and install 8GB ram

    The MacBook Air, retina MacBook and retina MacBook Pro do not have upgradeable memory.

    The RAM is soldered to the board and cannot be replaced or upgraded after purchase.

    Not with modern day Macs. You have to pay for MAX specs up front, including huge markups.

    Apple is basically going the sealed mac route, and current models have their ram soldered onto the logic board.
