Energy sector - technology demand is extremely high, equally so is the demand for the right people, nor do we don't look at the short term. Not convinced? Google will help you find the cost of a deep water rig per day day and the associated support cost. Equally i may have no idea what i am talking about, believe what you want to believe i frankly i don't care as it has no impact to my family or myself.

Every problem of life can be solved if we are really committed to solving the the issue at hand, and look for the right solution. Solutions exist primarily due to problems, solutions depend on problems for there survival and we can easily find a mitigable solution for every problem that may exist in our life. Those that have the drive & energy can achieve anything they want, those that dismiss and consistently criticise likely won`t.

I have no idea, why do you keep asking the same question across several threads for a $100 upgrade on a $2200 machine? The 2.6 wont make your life any better, if that`s what you are looking for. You will get 10% - 20% return on sale of the system, it will be marginally faster in bench tests and pretty much unnoticeable in regular use, unless you are going to be running system at 100% continuously...

well my thread was about the high model vs low end model, not jjust the processors. but none the less your answer is the one i was looking for and THANK YOU

YAY!!! And that was the answer we were all looking for... I don't think I could be happier myself.

Only if you assume somebody works 365 days a year. If you assume a 5 day work week, it's more like $156,000/yr.

Um, no. 5x$600 is $3000/day. Most people work around 2000 hours per year, if they are considered full time. That's 250 days. $3000*250=$750,000.

Most people that make $3000 in a day as normal salary income, don't actually work regular hours though. Think of, for example, wedding photographers. I know from my own wedding there are lot of photographers out there that charge that or more. But they can only work about 2 weddings a week, and are subject to seasonal effects (not many people get married in the winter/fall). They have other sources of income (family photos, or what not), but nothing pays the bills like the weddings.
