Is the SSD connection in the 2017 27" iMac the same as 2015?

Just curious in the event storage needs to be swapped out if they have changed the proprietary connection or if is the same as 2015. Anyone know?

The physical connector would be the same. And it's not proprietary. They follow the standard on that one.

Just to clarify, I am not talking about the SATA connection, I am talking about Apple's PCIe flash connection. They have changed it a few times in the past.

in this video we can see the connector (which is proprietary, btw) and it looks exactly the same as in the 2015 models. I highly suspect though, that these are NVMe SSDs instead of AHCI.

Yes they are. I am typing on a 2017 iMac now and the SSD card is listed as NVMe.
