    Hi,

I tried out 4k monitor in the early days of the MacPro 6.1 and it wasn't properly supported.
I'm checking out this monitor and wonder if it is fully supported on the Mac Pro 6.1?

    thanks

If your card will run 4K it will work.
Also make sure you use the cable supplied not any old one as it might not be able to support the correct resolution.

I have a Macpro 6.1, during the early days, it would only support 4k at 24fps...

I’m actually surprised that support is that spotty. Unless Apple needs to update their support page, you get 24Hz on an HDMI port on the 6,1. I guess the only other option is to use a breakaway box and run a GPU through TB2. Seems like a pain. My guess is just that by using HDMI, they hamstrung the max display support.
