Is the web/apps more retina optimized than before?

Lots of things are, some things aren't, but it really doesn't matter. You only notice it in text images (i.e., the title banner at nytimes.com).

Maybe you could share what kinds of sites you visit and apps you use and some helpful people could report back with those specific findings.
