Is the XServe SAS controller available separately for Pro?

So far, it's not available separately.
I would expect Intel's to be support though...

Any reason why you might expect it? Is it the same as the XServe adapter or/and is that support built into OS X?

just an assumption. It was designed to work with the 5000X chipset. I would assume that Apple would take advantage of this..

Worth asking product support I guess. I've got some spare SAS drives lying around and it seems silly not to use the fastest drives in a machine like the Pro. Dunno why it's hobbled like this when practically all the competitors have SAS options.
