I've had that LG screen for a few years now. It's a decent display for the most part. I love the screen real estate. What I don't like is the obscenely low brightness compared to the ASD (which in its defense, is only noticeable when it's sitting right next to an ASD), and the habit of the ports failing (LG displays seem to have this problem in general - my company has 12 LG displays and all but one of them has had the USB-C port completely die, and several have the Display Port connection ports fail).

I'll chime in to this zombie thread to say that Ive been using the 5k2k LG 40" 40WP95C for nearly 4 years. 99% productivity.

Pros: 3 columns of workspace at 3840 x 1620 HiDPI on a single screen
Cons: low-ish DPI, low-ish contrast, only 72Hz refresh

They just announced an OLED successor, same exact size and resolution. But obviously contrast should be WAY better, and refresh goes to 165Hz. I'd probably set it to 120Hz.

I'll look to pick up the OLED model later in 2026 when discounts start hitting.

ETA: the new OLED has a tighter curve, 1500R vs 2500R for the existing model I have. Not sure how I'll like that for spreadsheet work.
