i actually picked up the 1.6 because i just wanted as much power as i can get in a small package.

Mainly for movie playing but from the looks of it, i would probably be fine with a 1.4ghz

You won't notice a difference. If a program takes 5 seconds to load on the 1.6, It will take 5.7 seconds on the 1.4. Very small difference.

save the $100, upgrade something else.

Your point is correct but in fact there won't even be that much of a difference.

Thank you all for the replies!

I think I'm actually going to go with the base 13in + ram upgrade to 4GB.

This is going to my main computer as a college student.
And yes, $100 is a lot to college students :D

I'm still considering the 11.6in though because it's so compact.
But function over form, right?

Your going to be staring at that screen for hours on end typing, surfing, studying, possible chatting with study mates.

+1 to the 13. And you get a better batter and processor.

It's all about the power density (MHz / cu in), and the 1.6 (62.3) has more than the 1.86 (57). So, just get the Ultimate 11.6.

This was a joke.
