For context, I have purchased and returned around 7 clear cases in my search for the perfect one. A lot of people reccommended the spigen ultra hybrid case but it doesnt feel like the Apple case, isnt as clear, and has strange patterns on the sides that obscure the stainless steel finish. This is true for all of the other ones as well.

The apple one however, has been the best. It is truly crystal clear, and doesnt make the purple color much lighter However, i am still not a fan of the magsafe ring.

So, does anyone have any recommendations? And what material does the apple clear case use that is different from the others? thanks so much.

Check one of my recent posts for some pics and thoughts on the Totallee clear/hard transparent case. It’s great, and if you want something thicker they have a soft version:

totallee Clear iPhone 14 Pro Case, Thin Cover Ultra Slim Minimal - for Apple iPhone 14 Pro (2022) (Transparent)

Optically clear, great quality, no MagSafe ring. (However, the version I have does indeed work with MagSafe accessories.) As a note, even the ‘hard’ variant I have is soft like the Apple silicone one—no idea why it’s labeled as hard.

I actually got both the hard and soft ones from Totallee, wasnt impressed.

The soft case was identical, and I mean identical to one i got from Torras. It has the strange patterns on the sides and back, and it tints the phone a yellowish color. Its also not the same material as the Apple one.

The hard case was just… wow that thing was cheap.

I haven’t tried the soft this year so just going on what I’ve heard. I did try and return a couple of the Torras ones, however. Very surprised to hear you say that about the Totallee hard case though. It’s a minimal case so it’s supposed to be thin, but the tolerances are perfect, it’s truly transparent, and has great grip/feel. Really like it, switching between it and the Pitaka. Good luck with your search!

There may have been some qc issues on miy hard case or something. It was a foggy blue, and mine had a weird rainbow effect on the bottom of the back.

Regardless, thanks for your input my friend!
