I’ve had Accuweather installed on my AppleTV for a while, it doesn’t give a ton of information, the weather channel gives even less. Since the AccuWeather app is connected to the app on your phone, I had wondered if maybe it’s because I haven’t upgraded to the premium subscription?

But if not I’m just looking for something that offers a bit more detail. I heard that CARROT Weather can be better, but I wasn’t sure and you have to buy that app separately for the TV.

Could anyone make any recommendations—does anyone have the carrot weather app on their TV?

I like the Weather Nation app. Local forecast and national video. And it’s free.
I agree. Over time my goto is MyRadar. The maps, radar, and layers are great on this app. Great interface. I use it with the player (TV Commentary) hidden.

And for the quick check, some folks might not realize you can ask the Siri Remote for the temperature, weekly forecast or whatnot for a basic peek at what's going on outside. (tvOS will display a graphic with the result)
