I was at BestBuy this morning and they had a 15 inch and 17 inch MBP side by side. I noticed that the 17 inch MBP display looked quite a bit sharper than the 15" model. Is there a better quality display used in the 17 inch model? I know the resolution is much higher but I'm wondering if the display itself is of a better quality.

It looked sharper because of higher pixel density probably. It's only 2 inches bigger, but it has a lot more pixels.

Just like RKpro said it is because the pixel density is so much higher on the 17" than on the 15" 1920x1200 is a lot of pixels for just 17" and 15" 1440x900 just doesnt have as many pixels per inch, so in turn it wont look as sharp.
