Like name.rar01, name.rar02 etc

I need to back up my music library off site but the hosting site I use has a 2GB limit, so I'll have to do it incrementally. Any suggestions? I'm assuming iTunes isn't going to back up local media that I haven't purchased on iTunes.

Any alternative backup services will work too, the file is around 20GB compressed. Thanks.

Are you sure, you want to compress your entire music into one file, then split it for backup purposes? What if the big file or the smaller split files get corrupted? While archives (.zip and .rar) are good for file sharing, they are not really good for backing up content, unless you have a good MD5 checking system in place.
Can you not upload folders to that online service? What about individual .zip files with content from artist A to artist D or one .zip file per artist? Thus, if a .zip file is corrupted, you do not lose all your music, in case you lost your original music.

Anyway, maybe this + this can help.

Thanks for the pointers. I would honestly have liked to do this, but the upload service I'm using is a-drive and it seems java doesn't play well with Safari 6 and the directory upload service. Maybe I'll try firefox before I resort to this.

Thanks for all the helpful replies guys. I suppose I should have just updated Java to begin with. All is well now, but I will keep this in mind if I need to do anything like this in the future. As of now I'm using Unrarx, I'll try to grab a more full featured application.
